A trademark promotes and identifies the goods or services of the trademark holder, and protects the company's reputation and profits.

As amended by the WTO Regulations, a trademark may consist of words, persons, names, letters, numerals, graphic elements or combinations of colours, and any combination of such signs; it may also contain a three-dimensional shape, provided it can be recorded and published.

A trademark may be any designation that is visually perceived and capable of being represented graphically, and may in particular consist of words, persons, names, letters, numerals, graphic elements or combinations of colours, and include any combination of such signs.
Three-dimensional trademarks (where applicable)
A trademark may contain a three-dimensional shape, but it must be recordable and public, such as a drawing or a text description.
Improving the chances of a successful registration
To increase the chances of successful registration, customers should try their best to provide a design created by themselves and with no special meaning in the text, which is both unique and novel.
