Can a company go without a company secretary?
No. Hong Kong company law stipulates that every limited company must have a statutory secretary. The secretary must be a Hong Kong resident or a limited company registered in Hong Kong — a Chinese resident cannot take the role.
A company secretary arranges meetings, writes the minutes and files statutory documents with government departments.
If there is no suitable person, we can act as your company secretary: our company secretarial service is HKD$900 a year, excluding the government fee of HKD$105.
